Sorry for posting this in two places but, but i'd like to get help fast, because im clueless in whats going on with my new rig, and i'd hopefully if everything fails, return it before the mobo's retrun policy no longer exists. So:
I just built my first rig, everything is working so far... I just put everything together and when I turn it on, it displays a message for a few seconds: "Serial_ch0 Master No Drive" & underneath: "Serial_ch1 Master no drive"... under that it says to hit tab. So i do and it just shows the same messages, with other info: Create Array, Delete Array,Create/Delete Spare, Serial Boot Array, Serial number view. And i cant select any of em.
Though if i dont press tab, turn on the comp and just sit there and watch it the same message displays for a few seconds and after that i hear an audible: System Completed POST, now booting from operating system. And a screen comes up that says: Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. I tried putting in an OS and pressing a key but nothing, the message just pops up right under the same message over and over again. Then i read the ASUS User guide, it said during post hold down the delete key, so i do as instructed and i get a screen that says: Enter CURRENT Password:. So not knowing any, i just pressed random keys and it says: Password check failed. Then the voice says again: "System Completed POST, now booting from operating system." I checked and checked over and over eveything is plugged in the jumpers are on the right settings...So help to fix this strange problem is much appreciated.
