Well I built my system and thought everything worked fine until and it is a big until I plugged a USB device in. Nothing occurred. The USB hubs and controllers are in the device manager and it says everything is working but when a USB device is plugged in nothing is found. It is on in Bios but is also says no devices installed. I am lost. Not a single problem until now.
 
what device is it?

try hot plugging/unplugging and checking to see if anything happens in windows.
 
are your usb ports hardwired to the motherboard or do cables run from them then in to the motherboard?

if not hardwired into board check manual to make sure pin layout is correct.

what operating system are you running.
