I have a Asus K8v deluxe and the onboard Soundmax. I just noticed that the midi sound is slower and not as good quality as was on my 5 year old HP. Is there a setting to get good quality midi music? Or do I need a sound card? I noticed under the setting "Sounds & Audio Devices Properties", the setting it is on is Soundmax wavetable synth. There is also this setting "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW synth". Wonder if setting it to the MS one would improve the sound, and would it be safe to switch to it, or would it mess things up?
