K8NS-Pro and Windows XP 64bit?

Hey All. I recently bought a Gigabyte K8NS-Pro mobo with an Athlon 64 3000+ chip. When i installed Windows XP 64-bit edition, the install went smoothly (no errors).

However, on booting windows I get the splash screen and the computer reboots. It continues this in an endless cycle, even if I select safe mode. No error, no bluescreen. I read in another tech forum that a couple other people had the same problem with 64bit XP, K8NSP ( with various levels of Athlon 64 chips). No one had an answer for them.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, found a resolution, or even gotten XP64 to boot on a K8NS Pro mobo?

Thanks!

ok, I've since solved my own problem, you useless bastards 😉 I'm just kidding of course. Turns out Gigabyte isn't quite up to date on their support drivers. However, if you go to ITE's website (who actually make the RAID controller) you'll find WHQL certified drivers that came out at the beginning of April. These worked for me, and I thought I'd post this solution for any other lost soul searching the forum for answers:
