Before I RMA this MB for the third time, maybe someone here knows what the problem is.
The original board was a MSI K8NGM2-FDI, ran well for 11 months, then died.
Fans spind, but no post, no beep, no vid..
RMAed the board, got the board back after 3 weeks.
It was DOA, still no post, no beep, no vid..
RMAed it again, got back a different board after 2 weeks.
The replacement board is a K8NGM2-NBP.
This board will not post either.
Tried with 3 different brand of memory and 3 CPU.
Finally was able to get it to post with a stick of 512mb Ultra memory,
with settings of 4,4,4,8 and 2T, dimm volt at 2.75, interleave disabled.
But it will not run MemTest at default BIOS settings, even with Fail Safe loaded.
All this was done with the board out of the case, floppy drive, cpu and 1 stick of ram only.
All components has been tested good on a A8N-e and a Neo2 board.
Cpu tried: Opteron 146, 148 and 3800X2.
Ram tried: Kingston HyperX, Patriot BLK, PQI MD441 and Ultra.
Anything else I can try before I RMA this thing for the third time ?
