K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI >230MHz FSB will not POST HELP!!

okay guys ... here's the problem:

no matter what I do I cannot get this K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard to go over 230MHz FSB. I've tried backing the RAM speed and HTT waaay down (3x HTT, keeping memory clocked <200MHz DDR) and even relaxing the timings!

The problem I'm experiencing is when i go over 230mhz fsb it will literally not POST at all!

anyone else had a problem like this before?

athlon64 3000+ venice core.... this thing just STOPS at 230mhz fsb... no adjustment of htt or anything will help ... cpu voltage etc. nothing

edit: okay .... should i just take this motherboard back and get another one?
