k8n neo4 platinum hangs on shut down

I have a k8n neo4 platinum motherboard that would hang on shut down. I have to press and hold the power button to force a hard shut down. does anyone have a similiar problem?

if i install windows on my IDE hard drive then i don't have that problem. But I want to be able to run my two SATA 3.0 hard drive as raid 0. I've tried alot of different methods to fix it, but nothing's working. I suspect that this motherboard is incompatible with my SATA hard drives. but the test report that came with the motherboard shows that it has been tested and it worked

any suggestions? thanks.

my system specs:

amd 64 3200+ 939 oced to 2.4ghz stable
k8n neo4 platinum(non-sli)
1 gig ocz value ram 400
2 X 80gig ibm deskstar SATA 3.0 IN raid 0
1 80 gig seagate IDE
PCI-E asus video card

BIOS 1.A and 1.B have resolved this issue for me. The notes for these BIOS versions do not say they fix the shutdown bug, but I experienced it during all BIOS versions from 1.4 thru 1.9. If you already have BIOS 1.B installed and Windows is still hanging on shutdown, the issue may be something else.

I have one of these mb's in my youngest sons machine and have never had a shutdown problem. Most shutdown problems occur because of a program or driver that hangs during the shutdown process. You should try running a registry repair program to fix the errors in your registry and see what happens. I've found that system mechanic 6 works the best for me and I used to be a die hard norton systemworks fan.
