K8N Neo2 Won't Run Dual Channel Memory

Ok...

I've been running my K8N with my ram 2x512 in slots 1 and 3 (green slots). I just noticed today that the memory is running in single channel mode.

So I read that you have to use 1 purple and 1 green slot to get dual channel. But when I try to put one stick in slot 1 (green) and one in 2 or 4 (purple), I just get one long repeating error beep.

What am I doing wrong?

Try putting them in 1+2 or 3+4.

1+2 was not working
3+4 seems to have fixed the problem, but I don't know why.

i have mine in the 2 slots closest to the processor, its been fine. in dual channel mode.

Update to the latest BIOS revision. I had a hell of a time getting things to work right with my board that I just got last week, but finally realized a BIOS update would fix all the issues.
