K8N Neo2 plat - Memory Placement

I just need to know where to place my memory modules to obtain dual-channel DDR. I have two Corsair 512MB Sticks. I am thinking its Slots 1 & 2, but I want to make sure!

That's incorrect. Each channel is a specific color. You were right in putting them in 1 and 2, one stick for each color. Other boards like the Asus p4c800e use the color coding to refer to the pairs; however, the colors on the MSI refer to the channels. So either 1 and 2 or 3 and 4.

NO, it is not. If you have 2 put them in the green. You need to read up on the board at MSI..I jsut did yesterday.

If the ram you are using is double sided then one stick goes in green and the other in purple for dual channel. If you're using single sided ram then put both in green.
