K8n Neo platinum

ok, I put together my k8n neo platinum and Athlon64 2800 today. In PCAlert4, it says that my cpu is 50 degrees celcius. I am sure that it is very high for a cpu. Can someone tell me if PCalert4 is reading it wrong or if it the cpu is really that hot. I have the stock fan/heatsink running. Also, in PCalert4 on the last part of Voltage, it says "1.92" in red and it is blinking. With that, there is a beeping sound. Someone please help me.

Are you using the stock heatsink/fan?

What is the voltage set to in the BIOS?

Yes, I got the stock heatsink/fan running. I am not sure what the voltage is set to in bios. Let me get into bios and check.

Try using another app like MBM5 (google it) and see if it gets the same readings.

My Computer with a 3400+ and zalman 7000A w/ AS5 runs 44 degrees idle. Basicly, anything under 70 degrees is ok. The Voltage on the CPU seems too high though.

So anyone have similar temperature problems with this motherboard???? I really want to figure out what the problem is.

there isn't a problem with 44C for the cpu. thats perfectly normal with the stock heatsink

Isn't that kind of high for a cpu idling though? I will keep everything the way it is for like a month and if the temperature doesn't go lower, I will get some other Fan/heatsink. Which fan/heatsink would you get for low temperature and spending only about 20-25 bucks?
