I got my 3200 DTR/MSI K8N Neo Platinum about a month ago. I was excited to get it because of all of the great reviews. Well, once I started playing, I started becoming pretty disappointed. After quite a bit of time, I was finally able to get it stable at stock speeds and just left it at that.

Well, I spent a few hours tonite and I've finally been able to get everything working like it really should - and now I can reliably reproduce the nice overclocking results after a BIOS reset.

First off - the bragging. :D

I'm running 255MHz FSB, RAM Ratio at 166MHz, 10.0x multiplier, 2225 timings at 1T.

Ok, here's how I do it (note that this is using v1.1 of the BIOS with a 3200 DTR with an SLK948-U HS, others may need to modify this procedure or may not be able to go as high):

1) Reset your BIOS settings (using the jumper).
2) Go into your BIOS and make these changes:
- Change the logo/splash screen on bootup (because it's annoying as hell, not for overclocking)
- Set your RAM timings to what you want them to be (I go 1T, 2.0, 2, 5, 2)
- Set your RAM ratio to 166MHz
- Set AGP speed to 67MHz (locks the AGP/PCI ratio - 66MHz does NOT)
- Set CPU voltage to the highest available option (don't worry, it'll end up being like 1.2-1.3v, NOT what is listed in the BIOS)
- Set RAM voltage to whatever you need it to be (I set mine to 2.85v since I have BH-6 chips)
- Set your CPU multiplier to 9x (do NOT go 10x or you may not be able to boot because your CPU voltage is too low)
3) Save and boot up.
4) Run ClockGen.
5) Run CPU-Z.
6) Increase your CPU voltage SLOWLY in ClockGen while monitoring the voltage with CPU-Z until CPU-Z says it is at 1.75v (depending on your cooling, you may want to stop at 1.65v or may be able to go up to 1.85v). NOTE: What ClockGen says as your Voltage is NOT correct!
7) Increase your HTT SLOWLY in ClockGen until you reach your max (should be around 240-260MHz).
8) Verify you're stable with Prime95 and whatever other utilities you use.

Good luck, enjoy! :)

Prolly not much longer than a year or two. I don't see this being a problem at all as long as I can control the temperature well enough. It's not a problem at this voltage for me. My SLK948 is plenty cool to the touch at Prime95 load. Sensor says mid 50's but I have no clue how accurate that is after all of the temp-reporting problems this mobo has.
