I was wondering which board should I go with. I know that the K8N is a 754 socket board, and that the A8V is a 939. What are benefits of going with the A8V? I have read in a few topics within this forum of issues regarding the A8V.

the a8v is great. i prefer 939 mainly because of its overclock potential and also because of its apparant future upgradability.

i like the dual channel ram on 939, it means i can run my ram with a divider to help my overclock (without buying really expensive ram) and not lose out on memory bandwidth

if you are not going to overclock, or upgrade the cpu in the future, go 754.

Ok. I would like to upgrade the cpu in the future. So I guess the A8V is the board.

How much overclocking do you think I can do with Kingston PC2100 memory (if any)? I know its not the best type of RAM for overclocking, but on my tight budget it's what I have to work with for now.
