K7T Turbo... the computer from hell

Ok, I reflashed my bios to .10g to get the full range of multipliers.
Today I go to reboot and as usual I need to first turn on the pc and then to press the reset button.
Now win98 starts in a lower resolution but not safe mode. Most colors are 16. Go to reinstall drivers with CD. CD drive not seen by Windows. REboot. Bios sees drive. Windows doesn't. Ok, got G450 16meg SDR with Princeton Ultra 92. Reboot a few more times. Changing to safe default back to optimized default, etc. Windows finally sees drive.
Reinstall Princeton drivers, no help. Reinstall Matrox drivers, no improvement.
And this has nothing to do with my previous posts. I think I need to send this mobo back to the lower regions of hell from which it has obviously come.

Is there anyone in Phoenix who can help me? I need to go to a club of pc users and drag this rig with me for some consultation.

Try a clean install of OS then Via drivers followed by your other drivers, see if this helps if not well then consider your other options.

🙂

Well, I did clean install os, and I put via 4 in 1 driver at the first, but windows is hanging again on startup.
I messed pro2a up on the try to fix the same problem.
It looks like this turbo share some of same problem with pro2a.

Try uninstalling the Via IRQ driver.

What you describe right there, has happened to every Via board I've installed from the Socket7 days 'til now whenever I used this piece-of-crap driver. Don't know what it's supposed to fix, but it doesn't. Only messes up your install. Loose it!
