OK I'm beginning ta think I'm jinxed:(! I'm on my second K7T Turbo Mobo and I still can't get the sucker ta run right! First one was completely dead so I returned it and got another one. I shoulda known something was wrong right off the bat cause the sucker would not reboot either through software reboot or with the case button. I thought maybe a bios flash or something so continued ta load Win 2000 and then 4 in 1 etc. Everything was OK and then I figured I'd flash the Bios and see if it would cure the reboot prob. When I tried ta reboot it hung at the verifying DMI screen and wouldn't go any further. I tried pulling cards and when I pulled the Live card voila it booted. I figured I'd try on board sound and no way can I get it sound running. Still got the reboot problem. When I push the reboot button ya can hear the mobo kinda slow down and it shuts down the screen and searches all the drives but the fans keep turning and it doesn't reboot. Ok whadda ya think have I got another bum mobo or what? All the led's on the mobo are green by the way.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same exact problem, just built a system with a 1.4 athlon, K7T Turbo, 256mb crucial ram, Leadtek GF2 ultra 64, and the beloved SB live card. When I boot with card installed it's hangs forever on the "Verifying DMI Pool Data" but will after 2-3 min (approx) boot into windows. Looked at device manager no yellow !, but havn't yet checked for IRQ conflicts. I think this might be what it is, or the other thing I've heard the problem could be is the SB live and the via chipset??? Anyone got any ideas??:disgust:

No worries guys!, i just fixed the same exact problem on my KT7 Turbo yesterday. You have to switch the SB live card to a different PCI slot, i know this sound extreemly stupid but it fixed it. I moved the card down one slot and everything works flawlessly now. But!..., theres always a but, i cant get the onboard audio to disable, i even flashed the BIOS and theres still a question mark in my Device Manager. Im going to try different PCI configurations but its best NOT to have your SB Live in the first or 3'rd PCI slot.

Thats exactly the slot I had mine in. The third slot
I'll try another one...fourth? I'll see what happens.
