Hi!
I´m building a new computer with these components and I have a doubt on the connection of the cooler. The cooler came with two possibilities of connection: directly to the mobo or to the PSU. Which one is the best choice? I read somewhere that some coolers may demand so much electrical current that it may damage the mobo. Is this the case with this configuration? Thanks.

You should have no problems w/ plugging the volcano 6cu+ on this mobo. I have a similar setup and no problems for me.

Yup you should have no problem plug the HSF directly into the mobo
in fact some mobo require you to put the cpu fan on the mobo in order to boot up.

You should be fine, but you need an earplug with Volcano 6Cu+. It sounds like a jet engine

I agree, I used volcano 6cu+ for a month before my wife start complain
and I replace it with volcano 7... 80mm fan is much much quiter
it also has the temp sped control, now I run 44C with 2900 RPM
if I do some full load game the temp will rise up to 47-49 and the fan will run at 3200 rpm
It says on their site that the max speed is 3400 rpm but i never rech thet speed.
when cthe cpu goes to idle 41C the fan is even more quiter.

I run the 6cu+ and most of my cpu hs/f from the power supply just to reduce the load drawn from the mobo. I try not to plug too much into the motherboard if I can help it.
