k7s5a Shutdown/Reboot Problem

I'm guessing this has been addressed before, but here goes:

Whenever I attempt a shutdown in Win2K using the shut down menu or the power button on the front of the case (its been set to shut down the computer), the computer doesn't shut down, but reboots!

Has anyone else encountered this problem? How can I shut down the computer without using the manual override on the back of the case?

some info on what components you are using would be helpfull, ie: cpu/PSU/ram/vid card, etc:
