Well I got one of these from newegg with Xp1600, visiontek PCI card and 128 mushkin ddr. Well setup the computer and started it up everything seemed to be working great, but I notice that the cpu was clocked at 1040 Mhz so jumped into bios and changed CPU Freq and DRAM freq form 100Mhz to 133Mhz. That is the only change I made. Saved and exited bios, the computer restarted and cpu was now clocked at 1600+ XP well right after the initial bootup the computer halted and shutoff and it seemed like if it was restarting. But the computer never restarted itself and no signal was going to the monitor, No beeps from the speaker, the keyboard lights flicker for a split sec when I power up the computer. I have tried bios reset switch many times, unplugged everything, changed the vid card, I took the mb out to make sure there were no shorts, changed my ram took the ddr out tried out a crucial 128. My PS is a Enermax EG-301px-v 300W. IT seems as if MB died out on me! Any idea?s or should I just send this back?

I have had the same problem with this ECS board. I was reading on the net somewhere that this board requires a larger power supply i.e. 28 amps. or more..........so maybe a 400 watt might handle this.

the rating on the pS is.

30A = 3.3v

28A = 5.0v

But I mean the board worked even after i changed the setting to 133 but after initial bootup it stoped sending signal to the monitor. The sytem powers up all fans work but not the MB. This is when i wish i had a epox with the digital reading diag!

Have you tried removing all the the essential items to get it to boot? Strip it down to just the CPU w/HSF, ONE stick of RAM, the video card (reseat this a few times), and the floppy drive. No HDD, no PCI cards in the slots and no optical drives hooked up to the PS; only the items I mentioned and maybe a boot disk in the floppy drive. Reset the BIOS by unplugging the main ATX MB connector from the board. Then place the jumper in the clear position. You really must remove that ATX connector. After leaving the jumper in the Clear positon for several minutes, replace it and replug the MB connector and try booting again. Also, while waiting for the BIOS to clear, unplug your PS (if it isn't already). LMK.
