K7S5A reboots on shutdown after BIOS update

Hi --

Had to install the latest BIOS for this board (ECS 2002/10/29) to fix a problem and now my machine reboots everytime on shutdown.

Is this a known bug or a new feature?

(Its running Win98SE so its not the XP reboot issue.)

Could be lots of things doing this and since no one else has stepped up, I'll try. First, have you checked the BIOS for settings such as power on states? This would be under the power options (0bviously). Second, can you give some background info as to your entire system properties (hardware installed, RAM type and amount, Power Supply brand and rating, etc.
Have you tried flashing back to the old BIOS as a test to see if the problem is "fixed" when you do that. I am not suggesting this as a permanent solution; just a test. Get back to me on this info and anything else you think might be important and we can go from there.
