K7S5A problem....won't detect HD....

Hey folks...

Just built my first system, and the problem I have is that the system doesn't detect the HD. I have the WD 10 gig hd set as the master, but on the intermediate connection of the IDE cable, and I have my DVD drive (set as slave) on one end of the IDE cable. The DVD player is detected, but not the HD. When I try my bootup disk, I can't format or fdisk, and I'm not sure why. Do I need to reset the cmos or something, or is there something else I can do?? I already connected the the 2nd IDE port on the mb, but I'm really not sure what else to try.

K7S5A mb
WD 10 gig hd
128 mb sdram
voodoo 3 2000
AMD 1400 mhz processor

Thanks in advance...

Dave

Make sure all the cables are connected properly and none on any of your IDE devices are reversed. I had this problem, my cd cable was reversed, none of my IDE devices would be detected even on the other IDE channel.
