This motherboard supports either PC133 SDRAM or PC2100 DDR. I originally used PC133 in it that I already owned when I installed this board, but I recently replaced it with PC2100 DDR. This morning, I accessed my CMOS Setup and discovered a setting labled SDR/DDR CAS Latency. It was set on SPD, but other options are 2T, 2.5T, and 3T. The PC2100 memory I bought says "CL2.5" on the package. Should I change the setting in CMOS Setup to 2.5T? What does SPD mean?

SPD (Serial Presence Detect) refers to the tiny EEPROM chip on the DIMM that carries the DIMM's exact timing specification. So normally, it is a good idea to let the BIOS use that SPD data, so it automatically chooses the best possible timing for your DIMM. Use manual settings only if you have reason to believe your DIMM maker screwed it up, or if you want to tweak things for fun.
