K7S5A or Iwill XP333-R?

I've built systems with the K7S5A and they have been very good. However I am building a new system for a friend with many IDE devices so the RAID is something wanted, but not necessary. The price is going to be the same for either motherboard, but I don't know much about this Iwill mobo. I've read mixed reviews on the Iwill XP333-R motherboard, and wanted to see what other AT'ers thought :)

I don't know if this is the right forum to post this question, if it's not sorry for the bad post.

Seems like u got the right forum...i eman u are talking mobos :) I have both boards and I know your dilema. I must say thoguh the K7S5a has given me far less troubles. The problem however is that no matter what if its going to be a "newer" system your immediately going to have the bios on the k7s5a and new or not you will have to as well for the xp333. If he really feels that raid is the way u wanna go and have the time to mess around with the iwill i say go for it....the preformance gain is minimal but its still a gain...and it offers a bit more in the way of future upgrades with 3 ram slots and better support for 2700+ DDR memory.
