Does anyone know the pin layout to connect the Front panel USB plugs onto a ECS K7S5A motherboard. The front panel USB plugs are all single plugs and not one big plug. There are 9 pins on the motherboard and there are 9 separate plugs on the front panel USB cable.

You should have something that looks like this on the board for the front USB
* * Put the VCC or 5v pins here (make sure u put all the 1's in one row and all the 2's in the other hehe)
* * Put the D- or Data- Pins here
* * Put the D+ or Data+ Pins here
* * Put the GND or Ground Pins here
* I believe the k7s5a only has one shield.
or
* * 5v
* * D-
* * D+
* * GND
* * Shields
You could also have
* * 5v
* * D-
* * D+
* * GND
That's if you have an old mobo (the k7s5a is new enough) with low speed 1.5mbit USB ports. Shielded USB ports are 12mbit; this means you probably have one 1.5 and one 12mbit in the front. Hope this is everything you need.

It's on page 18 of the handbook, tells you which ones to plug into which pin. I have found that the front connector for the K7S5A only has 2 pins for the Power LED yet all the cases I use have 3 pin Power LED connectors. Has anyone else found this, It's an excellent board but the front panel connector instructions are a bit confusing and not labelled as well as they could be on the board.

I too am having that same problem. I have the same problem...how do you make a 3 pin power LED connection work on the K7S5A's 2 pin power LED pins???

I think it's probably a case of having to unwire the black connector and rewire to one with 2 pins, theres actually only 2 wires on the power LED to most cases anyway, dunno why ECS chose to be very non standard with this.
