K7S5a Max CPU Speed?

Hello all, just wondering if anyone knew what the fastest CPU the K7S5a could handle?? I think I read on the site a 2600xp but I am not sure...also what is the best bang for the buck speed XP CPU, just looking to improve my Desert combat load speeds.

with the latest BIOS a XP 2600+ (266fsb) will be fastest CPU stock, best bang-for-buck would be the XP 2400+. Both run really good on that board.

If you're going out to buy a new CPU now, the fastest you can get is a 2400+.

You need to rush it a bit, 'cause you'll need the older Thoroughbred-B flavor, not the new Thorton kind.

2600+ 266fsb

You can still find the 2600+ 266fsb, its about 30 bucks more than the 2400+, but they are still available.
