It seems to me that some people here have the ECS K7S5A and are able to change the FSB in small increments (like 5 mhz or something). This is not the case with me; the only thing I can select is 133 or 100. I have the latest bios. Is there something I'm missing out on? How are people doing this?

Also, does this board have a 1/5 divider at 166mhz?

why, why did they have to tempt me like that?!!!! I got the K7S5A so that I wouldn't, so I couldn't try to overclock my processor.

Does the overclockers bios have a 1/5 divider at 166? I don't want to kill my HDD or anything...

No divider on this mobo period.

Going above 133 will o/c the pci and agp cards, etc.

The good news is , you won't get much past 138 or so! ;)

oh that's just great lol.. no point to getting the overclockers bios if you cant overclock much anyway... maybe I'll get a better motherboard with some of my spare money... or maybe I'll just leave that old tbird to rot.

I'm not so sure about that...have a look.
at fsb 133, divider is 4 (pci 33). at fsb 150, divider changes to 5 (pci 30).

Actually the "no divider" isn't totally wrong. This mobo has its FSB limited to the PLL that specifies the speeds. This means that while there isn't a "divider" that you can change, there are "effective dividers" depending on the PLL. That all said, when you're running at 166/166 like I am, both the PCI and the AGP bus are running at spec speeds.

In addition to the OC BIOS, some people use Speedfan to reset the FSB.

[edited for stupid typo]
