K7S5A BIOS won't clear

Well in a attempt to make use of an XP2200+ that won't seem to work with the A7V333 I bought I planned to put it on my K7S5A. For the motherboard to support this it needs to be flashed with a new BIOS. SO I downloaded the flash utility and rom and put them on a floppy. Booted with DOS disk and ran the flash utility. Worked fine and rebooted as it was supposed to. Now it won't post and the floppy just runs. With the disk used to flash it emits 2 beeps every so often. With the disk out it will beep once. Tried to clear the CMOS by unplugging everything and setting JP4 to pins 1 and 2 which is supposed to clear the BIOS. Shorted those pins for a few seconds and switched it back to normal operation and plugged everything back in. Still same issue. Anyone got any ideas on how to clear this sucker out. with the failed A7V333 attempt I am now down 2 computers ERRRRR :|.

Thanks

I posted a solution to your bad K7S5A flash in your A7V333 thread, sorry I didn't notice this one before. Solution is here: #14 on this page.

maybe you got a bad processor? Can you even to into BIOS? Cuz if you can then go in there and adjust the FSB to 100 and see if you can boot from it.

You may have already tried this, maybe not. Try removing the BIOS battery for a few minutes to clear the CMOS.
