I'm putting together this computer, it boots fine without a hd or cd/dvd drive. But as soon as I put in the hd or cd/dvd drive, it gives me posts...
2 quick beeps and then 8 slower beeps. Then after I took out the hd and cd/dvd, it keeps beeping at me. I try to reseat everything and well, It's being a whore. Any help?

edeos,First try resetting the bios, then try just your hd on IDE1, if that works then make sure the master/slave jumpers are setup correctly.put your HD master & you DVD slave or Cable select, use a ATA66/100 cable.

Make sure the blue end goes to the mobo,master goes to black & grey goes to slave.
