K7S5A and Onboard Lan

seagate 80 hd..


My onboard lan doesn't work..running win2k with all the drivers loaded? did I lose LAN id? help.

is it enabled inteh bios?
does it show up in device manager?

enabled in bios and shows up in device manager but can't get on internet nor into my router

You might have lost the Lan ID. There is a utility on ECS' website to restore it. You have to know what the correct Lan ID is, though.

so i disabled the onboard nic and put in a pci nic and still can't get onto my router or internet..what's the deal?

I guess the deal is you don't set up your operating system's networking quite correctly. But hey, let's blame the "crap" board anyway, huh? (See other thread ...)

make sure ur protocol stacks are all installed, esp TCP/IP
