K7N420 PRO Owners... please advise

What's the best memory you have used with this board? I'm leaning towards Corsair.

I own the Asus model. I tend to use my Crucial stick.

Only memory I will use is Crucial. Works well in my NForced rig.

When choosing memory for nForce you need to follow 2 rules:

1. Use 2 identically sized, identical make sticks of DDR
2. Put them in slots 1 and 2 with the latest BIOS

Any big name memory should work fine as long as you follow those 2 rules.

I am in the process of building a couple nForce systems, I hope to get some benchies comparing how module size, module placement, and BIOS revision changes/effects performance.

I thought I read, where someone stated the best memory is registered. Is this true?

Nah, you don't need registered memory. I use a pair of 256MB PC2100 Crucial unbuffered non-ECC's in my K7N420 Pro righ.
