K7N2 Delta + SB Live! = Static

I have a K7N2 Delta motherboard. And a SB Live! card. The motherboard has built-in audio, but when given the motherboard i was told all works but the onboard audio. Tried getting it to work, nothing.

Have tried two SB Live! pci cards, in every slot available, with 5 different driver versions, disabling onboard audio in bios.

No matter what I do - as soon as I power on the PC theres a constant static noise/interference to the output, wether it be speakers, headphones, etc. Rewired everything in the PC. Re-set motherboard if grounding issue. nothing! I'm at a loss and kinda bummed. no cash to buy another motherboard, and this thing has sata, etc. everything i need 🙂

Any ideas??
 
I assume when you refer to drivers you are referring to the creative drivers?

Maybe try updating your mobo drivers (obviously you don't need to update the on-board sound drivers, but updating chipset drivers, etc. may help solve your problem)
