My system is:
Ath. 500 mhz (not overclocked)
128 Micron memory
Antec PS-303x (300 Watts)
Diamond V770 TNT2 Ultra
This may be an old issue, but after searching and searching, I haven't found a good solution.
The problem is, if I enable AGP in DX7 diag, than the system craps out whenever I try to do anything requiring 3d acceleration. If I disable AGP support than everything seems fine.
I've used PCI list and seen that AGP 2x seems to be enabled.
Anyone have the same (similar) configuration? Does AGP work for you?
Is there a way to force the system into AGP 1x only (in registry vice Powerstrip)? Will that even fix the problem?
One thing I found out was that the ASUS board doesn't supply enough current/voltage to the AGP, so am I stuck unless I change cards?
I'd appreciate any help.
