I'm having a little trouble with my new(egg
K7 Master here. Newer 1.1 version with 1.1 bios flashed in.
Two problems really;
My Zip 100 is acting bonzo, won't copy, except VERY slowly, usually locks up the machine. I've tried it with it autodetect in the bios and set to none, with DMA in 98SE checked or unchecked. It's hooked up as slave on the secondary IDE port with a Plextor CDRW :frown: Works fine in another machine btw...
Next is Graphics, I've tried all manner of the Detonator drivers 12, 12.2, 12.4 and Fastrack Creative, they all work great normally it appears but the 98 OpenGL/3D Screensavers lock the machine, every time?? :|
I've loaded it twice as per FastEddie's wonderful instructions Used the driver load sequence...4in1 skipping AGP, AMD 4.80AGP, DX8, and 12.00 12.20/12.20 Detonators. Only cards installed in it is a 3D Blaster Annihilator 2, a 3Com NIC, and a Promise TX2 Raid-->Card slot AGP, 3 and 4 respectively (I have switched them around as well. Sound is disabled Jumper and Bios (no sound till it's fixed I say damnit Machine is stable as a rock with these exceptions...any help would be appreciated, running out of Mt Dew here
*Oh yeah, these problems occur if I'm overclocking or not. My CPU temp is only 35 ambient and 42 loaded...
