K7 Master and no sidebanding under Win2k?

Installed the board last week, but wasn't able to play with it much for games until Tuesday. I noticed that it locked up under every 3D game that I played to the point where I have to reboot my box under Win2k. So I start playing around with video settings to turn off sidebanding and that seemed to have fixed my problems (gonna stress test this Sunday at lan party).

The funny part is, by default installation of the AMD 5.22 miniport AGP driver, sidebanding was disabled by default and I had to turn it on via Creative's AGP tweaker (probably would be the same with NvMax, Powerdesk, etc). I turned it on last week, but was only able to really play a lot of 3D games on Tueday.

I had sidebanding on with my Abit KT7 with my current GF2 GTS and it worked fine under Win2k, but its stable with the K7Master. Anyone have this problem? I know that sidebanding doesn't give much performance and gives more headaches with stability, but does anyone have it working?

Thanks,
vash

Not sure if this would help, but it's worth a try...

Install NVMax, it has a little button you can click under System-->Miscellaneous (methinks) that has to do with a Athlon stability fix under Win2000. It also has the sidebanding option, as well as enable 4x AGP mode for something or other. I don't really remember, but you may want to install it, give it a try, and see if it works. It certainly won't hurt anything =).
