K6-2 w/ Epox P55-TV?

I have a friend who has an old Epox P55-TV and he'd like to upgrade the pentinum 166 he has in there.

The board can apparently go down to 2.4v, which should be sufficient for any of the K6-2's.. Has anyone had any success with this?

Oops, after checking the manual from Epox, it looks like it has a max multiplier of 3. Looking at the list of supported cpu's, they have up to the K6-200 (66 * 3) so that all makes sense. So it looks like the K6-2 is out.

But what about the K6-3? It turns the x2 into x6, right? The only other question is the voltage. My friend had told me the board went down to 2.4, but the manual says 2.5. Looks like the range for the K6-3 is 2.3 - 2.5, so it seems to me that the K6-3 should work fine here.

Anyone?
