K6-2 Voltage

I have a 500K6-2 that is running at 2.2V, it won't pull 550 at stock voltage, what is the voltage range that I can take this CPU safely?

It's specified for a maximum of 2.3V by AMD, so that's definitely ok. If you want to go higher, I think you can even try 2.4V without more cooling than for 2.3V. I wouldn't go higher than 2.5V in the long term without watercooling, peltier, removing the metal plate or something special that. Anyway, o/c-ing this chip doesn't yield a noticeable performance boost, so I think it's not worth the effort.

A big concern is that at stock speed I'm having stability issues and would like to rule the CPU out of the equation. I'm just making sure that I can pop the voltage up 0.1 and not hurt anything.

Edit: check Angel in my systems profile to see why I'm having stability issues

2.3 volts is fine and even 2.4 volts is too. But if you go to 2.5 volts you may need extra cooling. If you can monitor the temp. at that voltage I would.

for CPU's over 2V I say it's generally a rule to not go over .3V
for processors under 2V like my PIII 700 I won't push it past 1.85V
(stock 1.65)
