Expect to pay 15-20 bucks on a croisage.

And yes wear the orange tux like on dumb and dumber. My friend and I did it last year (me orange, him blue) and we even had monacles, a top hat, and a cane. We were the life of the party...

You have to get her flowers and she gets yours. Usually, girls get like the wrist flowers but some don't so ask your woman. A tux is gonna be at least $75 if not over $100 depending on what you pick out. There are many different places. Try to become a tux rep for your school and you then get a nice discount by recommending people to get their tux at that place. This will save some $$ for ya. Where are you going out to eat? Prom weekend will be easy to blow a couple hundred dollars so make your parents pay for it;)

What are you doing afterwards?

For my junior prom...me and my friends rented a small yacht in Newport Harbor...but people like things like after-parties, ice-skating, hot air balloonrides...stuff like that

The big winner came a year after me...Two friends of mine flew their dates to San Francisco after prom :Q

BTW, on top of getting the corsage, bring a small bouqet of flowers ;)

You don't have to get an orange tux, but that would be....ehh....unique. Wear at least something orange (bow tie or cumberbund). Mine was ~$150.

You get the corsage. She's supposed to get you the boutonniere. Don't get too many flowers on it or it'll be too heavy for her to wear it. ~$15.

Go with powder blue. When they went to that thing in dumb & dumber they had orange and powder blue. It looked pretty good together. just make sure that you check it out with your date first.

Thanks for spelling it right.

#1. Prom is a dance. That means you need to dance with your date rather than stand in the corner playing grab ass with your buddies.

#2. Latex, that's all I'll say on the subject.

#3. Conversation at dinner would be nice rather than just shoveling.

Most importantly, Have fun.;)

Check with your classmates to see if anyone is really going to be wearing a tuxedo. Up here (where we call a "prom" a "formal") although tuxes were proper fare, we all wore suits. Well, except for one friend of mine who rented his tuxedo. He looked pretty odd, especially with the bright red bow tie...

And if you can pull it off, get a pimp cane! Practice your pimp walk too. :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. I know many people that were bold enough to ask out women they liked to the prom, but couldn't get the courage to actually dance with their dates. Your date will get very upset and end up with someone else, guaranteed.

Heh. I lucked out.

I got asked to the senior prom as a sophomore by a senior. Luckily, I just used my tux they give us for choir and she picked up the bill for the ticket, so the whole night cost me the $15 corsage.

I'm going again this year as a junior (it being well known that you're a dancer has its advantages :D) and doing the exact same thing. Only problem is the girl that asked my was too stubborn and wanted to get asked so she blabbed to the school that I asked her to go. If she expects $200 bucks from me for our bids come May, screw that b**** lol... This better be another free weekend (and a free beachhouse they're renting out, too :) ).

Just have fun, make sure to dance, and be on your best gentlemanly behavior. Although the guys go, it's an unbelievably huge deal for the girls. We look forward to it for a day, they've been looking forward to it since freshman year. Don't blow it for her. Make sure she enjoys it (don't take that the wrong way :D).

Good luck.

umm, you're probably going to have a hard time finding something orange for your tux unless you do get the dumb and dumber kind, so I say just go with a plain black one with a nice vest. Black goes with everything. Get a fullbacked vest, halfbacks are uncomfortable and make you look like a waiter. I'd say a black or silver vest to keep it neutral and again, it matches everything. If you're going to rent, my cost (tux, shirt, pants, vest, shoes) was 135. corsage prices depend on what kind of flower and how many. They go anywhere from 10-20. Go to a florist, ask them for the prices, and decide. Since its just junior prom, I'd go with 1 or 2 roses (again, a classic, though you can get tulips and whatnot). Get a WRIST corsage, not the pin ones, because those are uber hard to put on without pawing at your date (though you may want to do this, up to you). Finally, color- its all about matching, so if its orange, I'd say red or white. Find some girl who knows your date's dress color for certain and ask her if red would match. If not, go with white- white matches everything.

hope this helps :)

EDIT: corrected spelling. pet peeve, sorry ;)
