Inspired by Pundit's post... I've been looking for an old Sega Genesis game for about three years now. It's a spaceship/sim type game, the basic premise of the game is that you're trying to piece together this ancient puzzle to save the universe or something; you collect money by mining different planets, and selling that ore for cash so you can upgrade your ship.

There are three different races you can encounter, too. It was a pretty awesome game back in my junior high days...

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Dude... I just 0wned those darn Ancients... now, I'm going to bed.

But I'll spend a while exploring when I have time, gather all the artifacts, beat the Uhleks, etc.

Dude, this game is one of the best I've ever played!!! :D

That's all.

I think StarFlight was originally a PC game, that was ported to Genesis. Or am I thinking of a different game?

you are thinking of the one and only Star Control. Star Control 1 was on genesis and PC, while 2 was on PC and 3do. I recently bought a 3do and played through SC2 for the first time, its pretty awesome if you can get your hands on it.
