K-12 Academic Permament Record Files?

Is there a file of academic achievement discipline that follows you from kindergarten to graduation? And if so, what happens to it when you graduate. Is it readable, obtainable after you graduate?

K-12 Permanent Record File, not a transcript though... do they exist?

Are you worried that a prospective employer might discover that you pooped your pants in kindergarten? You need to reevaluate your priorities, not to mention your life.

each school probably has a record of your grades, etc...

however I doubt there is a K-12 file anywhere unless you went to the same school from K to 12.

it probably depends on the school. I didn't get any disciplinary files when I graduated high school.

No i'm just curious, it'd be a nice thing to have, you know to reflect on

Around here, they start your permanent record when you start your first high school credit course - as early as 7th grade. Earlier than that, there is no record.

And they do exist - they're stored on that big, ugly black server rack in the main office along with schedules, grades and the building's climate control. In other words, nobody knows how to frickin use it correctly. It's like a sauna in this computer lab.

I always assumed the disiplinary files were distroyed. My wife is a high school substitute. In order to be hired, the school district asked for her high school grades and transcript. Her highschool had that on file. It seems sick that one bad class in 9th grade could hurt your chance of getting a job - even if you get straight A's throughout college.
