JW Middleton had a heart attack this morning!

Fellow TeAmmates I?m in shock as I just got horrible news from our friend JW Middleton. He had a heart attack early this morning. They found his arteries to be 70% blocked so he is scheduled for heart bypass surgery tomorrow morning. He is currently at St Joseph?s Hospital (http://stjosephsatlanta.org/) in Atlanta (404) 851-7001 Room 331.

I know many of you join in prayer for his care and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I sure will do my best to keep everyone informed as best I can. He said they found the blockage at a point where the arteries split off to feed other arteries so they cannot do angioplasty or drugs, they have to operate and see the extent once they are inside.

This is such a shock, he does not smoke or drink, not overweight.

I just talked to John and he sounded great ... just like nothing happened. Surgery is scheduled for 10:00 am tomorrow morning.

He is in good spirits.

room 333, I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't change it after his surgery in the morning.

A phone call might wake him up, an e-mail can be read over & over!
We need to remind him that once they find him chasing nurses, he will be well enough to be sent home!

That's bad news. I thought this would be some sort of joke thread when I saw the title. Wish it was.

You're in my thoughts, JW. Keep your chin up and get well soon.

BTW, my father went through heart surgery (double bypass) a few months ago and he's doing just fine today. Modern medicine can do amazing things so think positive and follow the doctor's instructions.
