I finally got my JVC XG700 installed. First thing I did was plug my USB flash drive into the USB port. It played the mp3s on the flash drive just fine. However, the last letter of every song title, album title, artist name, etc. is missing. Doesn't matter how long the title or name is, the last character is always missing. For example, a song with the title "1979" will show up as "197" on the XG700.
I've checked all the files with various ID3 tagging programs and all of the tags are complete and follow proper ID3 tagging specs.. Anyone else experiencing this? If so, have you found a fix?
Also, when I leave the flash drive plugged in and the XG700 playing from the flash drive, if I turn the car off and leave when I get back and turn the car back on it's as if the XG700 never turned off and just kept on playing from the flash drive. For example, I'd leave my car and an mp3 titled "4 Seasons" is playing. When I get back and turn the ignition on and drive off, the XG700 will be playing a song titled "Back Here". It doesn't just start at that song, it's actually in the middle of the song as if the XG700 was on and playing the whole time I was gone. It's as if it just kept playing when I turned the ignition off and left the car earlier.
If I press the power button on the XG700 to turn it off or if I change to a different source (radio, CD or aux) this strange continuous playing problem doesn't happen. It only happens if I leave the source at USB and don't turn the XG700 off with the power button (I like having it power off when I turn the ignition off and on when I turn the ignition on).
I've tried different flash drives and even a card reader w/ a SD card. All the problems I've listed in this thread keep happening.
