I assume you mean from BestBuy? I experienced the same outrageous parts markup from CircuitCity with their so-called "Free Installation". They wanted $50 for the wiring harness and installation adapter for my '97 Grand Caravan. I went with CarDomain instead (see above) and got the harness/adapter/connectors for no extra charge!

As a final note, I received mine last week and installed it in about 30 minutes. The Scosche (how ever you pronounce it) harness they sent was terriffic. A simple color-match job to the plug on the JVC unit and I was able to plug right into the Caravan's factory plugs - it was almost TOO easy I also really like the 1.5DIN adapter they sent. It has a nice "cubbyhole" under the unit for placing a CD case. As for the JVC KD-G300 itself, it sounds GREAT (even through the cheap factory caravan speakers). My wife is very happy!

You could make one VERY long mp3 file with no pauses in between using some software to crossfade each song. Of course that would be probably very time consuming and annoying.

Actually the wiring harness for my 97 civic is a "special" item according to cardomain.com because Honda decided to wire the factory alarm, connections to the dome light, and key less entry into the stock hu. So it'll actually cost me 62$ for a wiring harness. I didn't even check with BB/CC. Thanks for the input.

Wow what a rip off! I usually get my harness from good guys for $15 and I make my own installation adapter.

Bought and installed the KD-G300 at BestBuy on Monday for $98.99 and installation kit for $26.08 (with 10% off coupon) . I am very happy with its sound quality. Wish had bought it earlier.
