I don't know if anyone cares, but I do, so I'll share.

If you liked the tv series Justified as much as I did, know that there is an 8 episode limited series starting tonight on FX. Justified: City Primeval. Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant for the uninitiated) hunts a sociopath in Detroit.

I did read that after airing on FX, episodes of Justified: City Primeval will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.

Mucho gracias sir. For some reason I thought this wasn't til the 21st but I'm prob confusing it with the Oppenheimer premier.

That's going to be an amazing movie I suspect.

Worth a double post.

Justified was such an amazing show. The dialogue alone was so memorable that it reminded me of both Deadwood and Spartacus series. AND, it was on basic cable.

In case you're not familiar, it's about Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens. Now our boy Raylan just loves shootin' folks that need shootin' but as a LEO, those shootings gotz to be Justified.

I'll turn you over to the fan wiki for more info and again, big thx to @allisolm

Just watched the first of the 2 aired episodes. Oh my. Some serious mayhem. Does start a bit slow.

Well, I'm not sure where this is going. But I'm pretty sure it's gonna get messy.
I hope so. Got part way thru ep1 before I had to go for an oil change. I'll finish it and ep2 tonight.

Finished ep1 and 2. Not bad so far. Some if it was easily predicted.

Saw #1 and thoroughly enjoyed. So many of his lines were pure Raylan Givens. Do wish we would get Boyd Crowder in there somewhere. They made a great pair.

I liked the show a lot and Boyd Crowder was one of the best villians on a TV show, but this is just something that didn't need to happen. I don't really have any interest in it or revisiting the characters again. I wish Hollywood would just let good things ride off into the sunset and let it be.

It was like the Breaking Bad or Sopranos movie that no one wanted or needed and then it ended up being pretty lame.

It would be amazing if they either had him escape & team up with the bad guy, or did a work-release program where they had Boyd help him catch the bad guy. Then he escapes to Mexico or something in the end haha

El Camino was pretty bad IMO and BCS wasn't a continuation of the BB story.

BCS fell off though I thought the last season was not good and did not like how it ended.

Really? I liked it as a little bit of extra closure for Jessie.

BB is still my all-time favorite TV show. Originally it was the first two seasons of Lost (not anything after lol), but they nailed everything with BB!

They're justified, and they're ancient
And they like to roam the land
They're justified, and they're ancient
I hope you understand

What do you think so far?

It lacks the charm of the original. Even so, once you get past that, it's quite good.

It's not bad...I agree that it is a far cry from the original series...but still...it's not bad.

The villain is completely amoral. Do so want to see Raylan take him down.

I tried to watch it but the Detroit that they created is so far away from the Detroit I know and love that I couldn’t watch much. The lack of attention to detail was borderline offensive.

People outside of Michigan/Detroit still cling to the old stereotypes of Detroit. It's made for that broader audience. They are going to be none the wiser.

The book this series is based off of was published in 1980. They are trying to fit 1980 Detroit inside of modern Detroit for this show.
