Its still murder.........
Do you think that removing life support from someone that is already brain-dead is murder too?
there is a differnce between letting nature take its course and affirmatively doing something. i hope you can see the difference
I see that difference quite clearly. But modern medicine is not "letting nature take its course". Were the defective baby to be delivered to term, letting nature take its course would mean letting the defective baby die within minutes after delivery. Instead, our modern medicine machine takes over without allowing the parents any say in the matter, keeping the defective infant alive in every expensive and unnatural way possible.
I see this issue as very similar to the "Death with Dignity" issue. Some people don't want modern medicine to keep them alive too long. And, for some reason I will never understand, other people insist on thinking that refusing modern medical care is the same as suicide. It's not.
As soon as the parents of grossly defective newborns are allowed to let "nature take its course", then I will join the opposition to these types of abortions.
