A biotech entrepreneur and Republican presidential hopeful says he'd consider Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah among several possible conservative candidates should he get to nominate someone to the U.S. Supreme Court

It's almost like this guy is TRYING to lose.

Typical GOP primary. How big a shitbag can you be to get attention. Then how far can you backtrack to actually be electable.

He said something crazy re Trump about the time he announced his not-a-chance-in-hell campaign. He's definitely sucking up to the MAGA crowd-which IMO is hardly the way to distinguish himself from the rest of the crowd.

Lol who cares. Even if the orange monkey and DeSantis drop dead, he won't get the nomination.

A lifetime appointment to legislate from the bench with zero consequences for moral/ethical failures and never having to pretend to care about voters or constituents ever again? Perfect job for Ted Cruz.

he's currently polling above Haley, Christie and Scott for the republican nomination.

not that anyone here doesn't already know you are a low information voter.

- Yep, this guy is making quick inroads in the old GOP crowd. My dad is also quite enamored with him, although I understand it's likely because Vivek is an Indian guy that's being given the time of day by the establishment.

I think many older Indian people desperately crave legitimacy from established western institutions.

Everyone hates Ted Cruz, everyone. Even people in his own party hate Ted Cruz, even people he caucuses with hate Ted Cruz. Everyone hates Ted Cruz.

Basically, his big claim to fame is that he will pardon all Jan. 6 offenders, and of course Trump.

Not time to even start thinking about who will be running in 24.

I'm still amused at how a significant chunk of the GOP candidates are trying to out-Trump... Trump. As if hardcore devotees will choose anyone other than Trump himself. That and Ramaswamy will be hurt by the racism that persists among some party supporters, particularly in the Trump camp.

With that said, I don't see the anti-Trump candidates doing well either. It's a bit like the Democrats circa 2016, when there was a 'natural' candidate seemingly destined to beat others in the primaries. Only this time, the party with the 'inevitable' candidate is fully aware that its winner could easily fail.

He’s the guy that wanted every candidate to sign a pledge to pardon trump.
