Can a socket A cpu cooler be used for socket 754???

99.9% sure that no, it can't.

EDIT: Ah, didn't know that (talking about the poster below). I guess there are a few that can.

It has to specify it supports both. I know the Zalman 7000A does, but the 7000 only supports 754 and whatever p4 is.
