790 lottery tickets is a LOT. At 1 ticket a week, that's 15 years. And if you can't do without the $50 a year, you are in dire straits!

Actually, he said that's he's saved ten times as much which would be $7900. With 2 drawings a week at $1 a ticket, that almost 76 years worth of lottery tickets.

Sadly, the lottery hasn't been around for 76 years. So, not only is Ornery bad at math, he sucks at history too.

Who says people only buy one ticket?

And most areas have multiple drawings a day, not week.

I hate how gamblers, who put their money up at 1%-2% vig, or good poker players, who have a positive expectation, are viewed by society as degenerates, but people who play the lottery, who are giving up 50% of their investment in expectation, are not.
