parasites that swim up into your urethra and chill out there to reproduce so that their spawn have some place warm to grow and ample supply of blood to feed upon.

that's what haunts me.

Man, these are damn weak, and have been on the net for years.

The really cool stuff would probably get me banned.

I agree, but having heard the stories of what my dad and his brothers lived through as kids/refugees in WWII thanks to Russia... the centipede one gives me chills.

Yeah, there's a lot worse out there, but when you have first-hand accounts of some of that crap it's more than enough for some people.

I usually cast lightning at them.

Also, I'm very grateful cliff racers don't exist in real life... though I guess pterodactyls might have been similarly annoying.

they have a hamburger for a tail

how scary can they be?

I LOLed.

I agree though - these don't look intimidating at all. I think insects (and spiders) scare people because of their ability to swarm - I don't see a swarm of coconut crabs ever attacking me.

Apparently they're pretty harmless. There are pictures all over the internet of people holding them and letting them crawl all over them.

Until they make a movie "Attack of the Killer Coconut Crabs (now served with sweet chilli and margharita)"
