Fiance woke me early this morning around 2AM and told me to feel her breast. She stated she had a lump.
This morning when we woke up she wasnt herself and it definately felt out of the ordinary. She's gonna call the doctor this morning but with the holiday weekend approaching, I wonder if anyone will be working.

She's not her usual self and I dont like seeing her all sad. Her grandmother has breast cancer, so there's a chance she might also have it. At the same time it could be a benign tumor but who knows.

Mannnn ... this sucks...........

hopefully yu caught it good an early

Sorry to hear that lilcam. 🙁 My wife had ovarian/uterine cancer and it was a traumatic experience for our entire family.

I know the first reaction that is natural to have is to flip out and assume that it's cancer, but it could be a couple of different things:

1. benign tumor (as you mentioned)
2. swollen mammary gland
3. cyst

Just get her in to see her doctor ASAP and remain hopeful.

She's feeling sick and did mention her breast were swollen. Her period is around the corner from what she says, so I'm hoping it's a swollen mammary gland. I totally forgotten about that.

I hate seeing her mope around this morning and she didnt even want to go to work. She understands there's a chance that it isnt cancer, but the fact that her grandmother has it, is even more devastating for her.

Hopefully the damn doctor wont make her come in weeks from now.

Any other morning and the thread would have read something like "OMG I just felt my fiance's booby!"

jk... and how old is she? If she is under 40, there is a huge chance it is nothing.

it's hard not to think the worst, but chance are in her favor that it isn't cancer.
i do hope she gets an appt soon so she can get a positive answer and get back to feeling better.

Last year at the ripe ol' age of 17 I had a huge ass lump in my breast (and I'm a guy). Turns out it was a very swollen gland, so they do happen, but boy was it a scare. Best of luck to you and your wife.

yea man, hope everything turns out alright. try to find more doctors too. get second opinions and get it fixed.

good luck to both of you 🙂

on a similar note, I have had a splitting headache for 4 days, I am gunna call the doctor...

Go NOW.
One of my best friends died of breast cancer after all treatments failed.
Good luck to you and your finance.

Medical practice is as muc about "faith" as it is about "science".

breast cancer rate is very high around here... I think highest in the nation... I keep telling my wife to get checked for real but she keeps putting it off. :|

hehe, I check my wife all the time... but it might not be a bad idea for her to have a doc check it out I guess huh 😛

My wife just went throught the same thing... it was nothing (cyst or gland, I don't remember... just something that wasn't a concern). I hope it's nothing for your fiance as well.
Good Luck!
