I'm in the process of building a new custom home and finally am getting what I always wanted. A network closet. It consists of a network patch panel tha can house all the connections, space for modem, router and has plenty of power connections. One more thing it will consist of is a CCTV DVR. It will be hooked up to the network and will have a direct line to the big screen tv so I can view it anywhere. I cant wait to get everything set up.

Make it bigger than you think you would ever possibly need, then in ten years it may still be just big enough for all the stuff you need to cram in there.
 
i thought about that, thats why my room is 20'x22'. it has a small living room in it for when my friends want to come over and chill. 🙂
