just went to dvi for my lcd......

and man what a difference.......got a new card also that supports dvi and its like night and day.....there was a banding test pic somebody had posted that looked like crap before i did this..........now its just as smooth as my old crt with much better colors to boot.......i didnt think it would make that much of a diff but it did......im seeing things on my screen that i never knew exsisted until now......just thought some folks would like to know........cheers..........
 
i tested two 17" samsungs on my 9500pro. one on the dvi and one on the analog and the DVi was so much clearer

actually it was my 2005fpw on the dvi and a samsung 175v on the analog but either way the dvi was remarkably more sharp
 
DVI was designed to fight signal noise on the monitor cable. The reason you notice everything sharper is because you have a long cable or a room filled with EMI. That or you got new glasses =p. I've tried both, working at a computer store, and if you use a short triple shielded cable, it's not that bad. Unfortunately, DVI also makes driving large displays much harder.

i got the samsung 204b 2 nights ago......it was leaps and bounds above my old dell flat crt running analog......but man im telling you......this dvi thing kiks butt........im talking web browsing, photos, text, the whole nine.......dont play many games but it sure makes me want to now ! lol !!...........ill never go back to anything else.......i had actually thought about taking this 204b back and getting a 21 crt........not now....
