And i talke d2 the guy and he said that they are doin the 1st-come-1st serve thing and they only get 150 of them. He said they will probably give people tickets that get there b4 the store opens next thursday, So just a hint... grab one b4 the store opens

Our local Wal-Mart has already put out all the accessories for the PS2, but they're holding out on the games so they'll have something for the people come Thursday morning. Add to that that they're only getting in 21 Playstation 2's and they're putting them out at 7 AM instead of midnight...

Needless to say, that's a fight that I'd love to watch but not participate in.

My local Wal-Mart put out a sign in the electronics that they are going to be selling them in the lawaway dept. at 12AM on the 26th. They aren't even going to bother trying putting them on the shelves.

My brother just bought Madden 2001 from K&amp;B earlier too. So now we have a game!!! Whooooo!!! But where's the system???.........

I kind of feel sorry for those who're going to have to fight to get their beloved PS2 on Oct. 26th. I pre-ordered mine back on Feb. 1st with GameStop.com, and now I'm glad I did!

A good friend of mine reserved PS2 and a few games at Electronics Boutique weeks ago. He will be picking his up October 26. From that, I will decide if it's worth it for me to get it. I like how it has a DVD player built in...but the thing I don't like is that supposedly the graphics are a bit jagged(?).

Also, I love multiplayer, so the computer is the best platform for me for the time being. Plus the fact that I'm not a big gamer besides Rogue Spear.

I'm expecting game prices similar to current high-end console games. The X-box will use expensive parts and looks like it'll be sold at below cost. Like Nintendo, Sega, Sony, etc. they'll recoop the costs by shafting us with high individual game prices. I'm just saying premium priced games are not for me!

slightly..but you get over it quickly...and they were running the PS2 on a High Definition screen. But the movement and framerate was incredibly fluid!

From what I heard, with the X-Box, there will be no licensing fees like the computer, so the game should either be somewhat cheaper or the same price range as computer games. With Sony, Sega, and Nintendo, they charge developers a hefty fee to make games for their consoles, and that's why the prices are around $40 or $50. If they do plan on making up some money from game sales because of a below-price console, then I expect games to be the same. Even Microsoft knows not start selling $70 games like Nintendo did in the beginning of the N64.
